970 sur le territoire de la ville de Trinité, le Collège Beauséjour se situe au cœur de la cité scolaire Frantz FANON qui comprend également un lycée professionnel et un lycée polyvalent.
Le collège devient autonome en septembre 1976.
Built in 1970 in the city of Trinité, Beauséjour Middle School is situated on the north-eastern peninsula of the French Antillean island, Martinique (also called “FWI” : French West Indies, and it is an overseas region). Our middle school is located in the heart of the Frantz FANON school campus. The campus is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean both in the north and the south, and includes a secondary school, a vocational school and a technical high school.
Notre collège compte 214 élèves dont 55 en SES-SEGPA (Section d’Éducation Spécialisée – Section d’Enseignement Général et Professionnel Adapté) répartis en 16 classes. Le public vient principalement des quartiers environnants (Beauséjour, L’autre Bord, anse Bellune, zone du Bac, Galion) et de Tartane.
Il est dirigé par Mme Zaïre, la Principale, aidée dans sa tâche par Mme Burlac, Principale adjoint, et Mme Platon, gestionnaire adjointe, Mme Daphné, assistante de direction,
La directrice de SEGPA est Mme SIMAX.
Our middle school counts 214 students divided into 16 forms including 55 students in SES-SEGPA (Section of Specialized Education : General and Vocational Adapted Learning Section). The students come mainly from the surrounding neighborhoods (Beauséjour, L’autre Bord, Anse Bellune, Zone du Bac, Galion) and Tartane.
Mrs. Zaïre is the school Principal – headmaster, assisted in her task by Mrs. Burlac, vice principal -deputy headmaster, and Mrs. Platon, fund manager, Mrs. Daphné, executive assistant, fund manager assistant. The head school of SEGPA is Mrs. Simax.

L’équipe pédagogique regroupe 32 professeurs, un professeur-documentaliste, Mme. CHATELAIN, 6 AED et une CPE, Mme NOMEL, une infirmière, Mme BRUNAULT , un Psy-EN, M. Audel et une assistante sociale Mme SOLIS. Le collège compte également 8 agents ATTEE.
En dehors des enseignements obligatoires, les élèves peuvent choisir, dès la 5ème, le Latin ou Langue et culture régionale (créole) en 4ème.
En 4ème et 3ème, le collège dispose de deux sections deux “sections euro-caribéennes”, l’une en anglais et l’autre en espagnol.
Nous avons aussi un club de ping-pong, une section surf, un club UNSS basket-ball et badminton, une section voile, un club d’échecs, une chorale, un club de photographie (“Les photoreporters de l’art“), un atelier théâtre (“Coup de théâtre à Beauséjour“), un atelier cuisine (“Top chef”), un atelier Slam de création-écriture (“Sous l’âme des mots“.
The educational team includes 31 teachers, the school librarian (school library media specialist) Mme CHATELAIN, 6 educational supervisors (AED), a chief supervisor Mrs. NOMEL. The middle school also has 8polyvalent state agents (ATTEE), a nurse, Mrs. BRUNAULT , a social worker Mrs. SOLIS, and M. Audel, the school psychologist.
In addition, students can choose elective subjects such as Latin or Regional Language and Culture (Créole, the vernacular language in Martinique) in year 8.
In year 9 and year 10, our middle school offers two “Euro-Caribbean sections” (intensive language classes), one in English and the other in Spanish.
Also we have in our highschool ping pong, surfing, basketball, badminton and sailing clubs, a chess club, a secular choir, a photography and drama club, cooking activities, creative-writing Slam workshop.
