Elle s\u2019appuie sur la connaissance des principes et des finalit\u00e9s du raisonnement scientifique, mais aussi sur la pratique effective de la d\u00e9marche scientifique. Elle permet aux \u00e9l\u00e8ves de construire une repr\u00e9sentation globale et coh\u00e9rente du monde et de mieux comprendre leur environnement quotidien. Elle ouvre sur la prise de conscience de la responsabilit\u00e9 de chaque citoyen \u00e0 faire ses choix dans les grands enjeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9cole, les enfants d\u00e9couvrent la d\u00e9marche scientifique de mani\u00e8re interdisciplinaire, sur des s\u00e9quences de plusieurs semaines, leur permettant de construire progressivement des connaissances scientifiques \u00e0 leur port\u00e9e. Au coll\u00e8ge et au lyc\u00e9e, les apprentissages, de par leur sp\u00e9cialisation, sont davantage cloisonn\u00e9s, ce qui rend plus difficile la conception d\u2019une science globale et coh\u00e9rente. Il s\u2019agit pourtant bien de la m\u00eame d\u00e9marche scientifique, d\u00e9clin\u00e9e au cours d\u2019investigations successives, pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 un probl\u00e8me scientifique.
