Chaque élève est tenu d’assister aux cours inscrits dans son emploi du temps, sauf en cas d’autorisation d’absence. 

Les responsables légaux ou l’élève majeur doivent informer l’établissement, sans délai, des motifs de cette absence. 

Les absences sont autorisées pour les raisons suivantes : Maladie de l’enfant – Maladie transmissible ou contagieuse d’un membre de la famille (certificat médical obligatoire) – Réunion solennelle de famille – Empêchement dû à un problème accidentel de transport – Absence temporaire des responsables légaux lorsque l’enfant les accompagne (hors vacances scolaires) – Tout autre motif peut être examiné par les services de l’Éducation nationale.

Les exemples de motifs d’absence présentés ci-dessous sont fournis à titre indicatif, afin de vous aider à justifier les absences de votre enfant selon sa situation.
Ils ont pour objectif de faciliter le traitement administratif et la régularisation des absences par les services de l’établissement.

À titre indicatif

Motifs personnels

  • Décès d’un membre de la famille 
  • Hospitalisation
  • Maladie (avec ou sans certificat)
  • Raisons familiales
  • Réveil tardif
  • Problème de transport
  • Voyage personnel
  • Motifs nécessitant la signature des représentants légaux : Exclusion de cours – Absence de tenue de sport ou d’EPS

Motifs extérieurs

  • Convocation administrative 
  • Rendez-vous CMP/CMPP
  • Journée d’appel
  • Évènement sportifs ou culturel (club)

Motifs internes (justifiés automatiquement)

  • Rendez-vous avec le Proviseur ou son adjointe 
  • Passage à l’infirmerie
  • Rendez-vous avec l’assistante sociale ou le PSYEN 
  • Réunions délégués, éco-délégués, ambassadeurs PHARE
  • Sortie pédagogique 
  • Voyage scolaire 

Motifs non autorisés

  • « Je mangeais » 
  • « Je dormais » 
  • Erreur d’emploi du temps
  • Tout autre motif jugé non légitime par l’établissement

Justify and regularize an absence

📚 Mandatory Class Attendance

Each student is required to attend the classes listed in their timetable, except in cases of authorized absence.

Legal guardians or the student (if of legal age) must inform the school immediately of the reason for the absence.

✅ Legitimate Reasons for Absence

Absences are authorized for the following reasons:

  • Illness of the student
  • Contagious or transmissible illness of a family member (medical certificate required)
  • Formal family gathering
  • Disruption due to accidental transport issues
  • Temporary absence of legal guardians when the student accompanies them (outside school holidays)
  • Any other reason may be reviewed by the National Education services.

📝 Absence Regularization Procedure

If the student is absent at the beginning or during the school day:

  • Upon return, they must report to the school office to confirm their presence and pre-fill the absence slip.

If the student is absent for the entire day or several days:

  • The evening before returning, they must complete and sign the absence slip with their legal guardian.
  • Upon arrival, they must go to the school office to officially regularize the absence.

If the absence is planned (trip, club activity, medical appointment):

  • The student must notify the school office in advance.
  • The absence is then regularized the day after the scheduled event.

📌 The School Adapts: Examples of Valid Absence Motives

Personal reasons:

  • Death of a family member
  • Hospitalization
  • Illness (with or without medical certificate)
  • Family-related reasons
  • Oversleeping
  • Transport issues
  • Personal travel

Reasons requiring legal guardian’s signature:

  • Class exclusion
  • No sportswear or ESP attire

External reasons:

  • Administrative summons
  • CMP/CMPP appointments
  • National service call-up day
  • Sports or cultural events (club-related)

Internal reasons (automatically justified):

  • Appointment with the Principal or Vice Principal
  • Visit to the infirmary
  • Appointment with the social worker or school psychologist (PSYEN)
  • Delegate meetings, eco-delegate, PHARE ambassadors
  • Educational outings
  • School trips

❌ Unauthorized Absence Motives

The following reasons are not considered valid:

  • “I was eating”
  • “I was sleeping”
  • Timetable error
  • Any other reason deemed illegitimate by the school
